A new chapter for Discipleship Works

Discipleship Works exists to equip Christian leaders—especially those in underserved communities—with the theological training, mentorship, and practical support they need to serve faithfully and transform their churches from within. Over the past several years, we have watched God use this ministry to raise up confident, capable pastors and ministry leaders across Kenya. As the landscape of theological education continues to shift, we are committed to adapting wisely, stewarding resources faithfully, and building a sustainable foundation for long‑term impact.

One of the most exciting opportunities before us is the launch of a mission‑aligned print shop in Kenya. This initiative, approved by our board, is more than a business venture—it is a strategic step toward sustainability, community empowerment, and deeper ministry impact.

Why a Print Shop?

The print shop will serve as a practical extension of our mission in five key ways:

  • Educational Support — By producing our own workbooks, training manuals, and theological resources, we can ensure consistent quality while reducing long‑term printing costs.

  • Community Engagement — Local churches, schools, and small businesses will have access to affordable, high‑quality printing services, strengthening our relationships and expanding our presence in the community.

  • Job Creation — The shop will create employment opportunities for local residents, offering dignity, stability, and economic empowerment.

  • Brand Visibility — Producing our own brochures, flyers, and promotional materials will help us share the mission of Discipleship Works more effectively.

  • Sustainable Income — Revenue from the print shop will help fund scholarships, digital learning tools, and program expansion—reducing dependence on external fundraising.

This is a practical, community‑rooted way to ensure that Discipleship Works remains strong and self‑sustaining for years to come.

Adapting to a Changing World

Theological education in Kenya is changing rapidly. Digital learning, mobile access, and hybrid training models are becoming essential—especially in the wake of the pandemic. At the same time, economic instability and shifting government regulations create new challenges for pastors seeking accredited theological training.

To meet these realities, we are strengthening our online presence, developing a mobile app, and expanding virtual training options. We are also building a culture of adaptability within our team—one that encourages open communication, empowers local leaders to make decisions, and keeps our strategies flexible and responsive.

These steps ensure that Discipleship Works remains accessible, relevant, and resilient in a fast‑changing world.

How You Can Partner With Us

As we take this next step, we are asking our friends and partners to join us in two ways:

  • Pray for wisdom, provision, and favor as we establish the print shop and expand our digital training efforts.

  • Support the project financially as you feel led. Your generosity helps us equip more pastors, strengthen more churches, and build a sustainable foundation for long‑term ministry.

We believe God is opening a door for Discipleship Works to deepen its impact and empower even more leaders across Kenya. Thank you for standing with us, praying with us, and believing with us as we continue this mission of faith, education, and transformation.
